I didn't know Christa but as I've read she was the finest. And yes she is definately a hero. To all her family I'm very sorry for your loss. To all of her co-workers cherish all the memories and follow in her footsteps she will be guiding each and everyone of you. Rest in peace 106. Melinda LeMaster: here it is 7/5/08 and it has been 5 months 13 days since I had to give up my beautiful daughter and I just now finding the stenght to get on the web to see the comments about my baby girl... I sit here with tear running down my face till I can't even see to read or write. i just wanted to thank you for the tribute to my daughter. I still asked every day for a reason that she had to be taking away from her baby girl and her mom, dad and brother...WHY? You know everyone says time heals, well it don't you just had to live without them and your heart feels as if it is no longer in your chest it is as if there a empty hole. I find it a great honor to have known such a wonderful person. I was able to meet Christa through Emily whom I work with and I found out what kind of an amazing woman she was... she was funny and just one of those individuals that you loved being around. I know the job she done was one that she loved and I know the kind of person that she was. She was wonderful and had such a way with people. My son absolutely loved her.. she had a way with kids and people in general. I had an opportunity to hang out with her a few times and she was a dandy... those memories I will always cherish!!! I can not imagine what her family is going through. I just wanted to take this opportunity to say, I believe Christa died doing what she done best....helping others. That deserves more respect than anything. She was an amazing friend and will be sadly missed for a lifetime. I just want the family, Olivia, Emily and Haley to know that if there is ever anything that I can do for any of you all, please let me know. May GOD be with you in your time of need. Christa we only got to meet a few times but it was great the times i did get to talk to you! You were a GREAT person and you will be missed!!! My thoughts and prayers go out to you family!! |

Christa, you were an awesome person. You lived for Paintsville Fire and Ems and your family. I miss you coming to the ER and bringing patients in. We could always count on you for whatever we needed. I ran across this poem entitled "The best paramedic needed in heaven" by Sharon Floyd. I don't know her, but it made me think of Christa. God needed a Paramedic only the best would do and so he chose our friend, it happened to be you. Why did he choose this time or way ? We may never know, so who's to say. You did your work with excellence and pride, God decided he wanted you by his side. You touched our lives, word's can't describe, It seems unfair, there was no good-bye. Only God knows when: only God knows where, But we know " The Best Paramedic's up there". Christa, you was a sister to all of us at the fire department. We love you, and miss you greatly. I appreciate everything you did for me from explaining things I didn't understand as an EMT student, to making sure I did my run sheets correctly. You and your family will always be a part of our family. |

My heart goes out to Christa family and friends... Christa was a strong , independent woman... Many people looked up to her including me. I met Christa when she was an EMT and a Medic student almost 6 yrs ago.... She taught me alot..and helped me through some rough patches in my life... Christa wasnt just a hero on the job, she was a Hero in everyday life, a true friend, someone you could count on to be there whenever you needed her. She was never afraid to speak her mind, she took up for herself and others, I always admired that. She wasnt afraid to take charge in field that was predominately men. She was a woman to look up to and to aspire to be like. She will forever be in our heart and her daughter and family in our prayers.. She will be sadly missed!! Tonya: P.J., how I miss those days of delivering patients to HRMC ER. You, Debra, me and Christa always had a good time. Even though they were not so long ago, I now have to think of them as "the good Ole days!" Christa and I had a wonderful time together on the road and i will cherish those days forever.....I miss her dearly. |
